Dashound
The Dashound is a coach that has appeared in muiltiple Grand Theft Auto titles, including Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online. An unused texture container for a similarly-named vehicle can also be found in the game files for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas but it sports similar features to the regular Bus in the 3D Universe title. It is one of the vehicles set to appear in Grand Theft Auto 6.
Overview
Design and Inspiration
In all three of its appearances so far, the Dashound seems to be inspired by the MCI Renaissance E series bus[1]. Its front and rear bumpers, as well as the rear design, are taken from the 2001–2006 Blue Bird LTC-40[2]. The distinctive quad-tail light setup resembles the circular lights found on the 1989–1990 Blue Bird Wanderlodge. Some design elements may also be drawn from the 1998–2010 Prevost H3-45 [3].
Appearance
The Dashound can be found in the first trailer for GTA 6, as one of the more recognizable vehicles, alongside the Brute Shuttle Bus, the Vapid Speedo, and the Jobuilt Phantom.
