The Grand Theft Auto community loves to come up with all sorts of crazy rumors. However, with Sony hinting that something GTA-related might be announced on the 29th of this month, you can't help but feed into the speculation.

Sony gave GTA conspiracists fodder by uploading a video on TikTok showing the GTA San Andreas intro screen with its intro music playing in the background while replying to a comment.

In a later comment, a fan asked Sony to upload a similar video showing GTA Vice City. But, instead of obliging, Sony simply said, "The 20th anniversary is coming up, too." The internet pretty much went wild after that.

If nothing else, it makes sense for Rockstar Games to reveal Grand Theft Auto 6 on the 29th, since GTA: Vice City first came out on October 29, 2002. It's believed that GTA 6 will be set in the same location as GTA: Vice City but in modern times.

The release date of Grand Theft Auto 6 is believed to be at least three years away if not longer.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is easily the most speculated video game of all time. Unfortunately, due to last month's security breach, it's also the most leaked game ever. Several dozen videos of in-development footage of GTA 6 found their way online and the internet hasn't kept quiet since.

In addition to this, leakers have jumped on the bandwagon, with one insider claiming that Rockstar Games will drop official GTA 6 footage before Take-Two Interactive's next earnings call.

The good news is that we're only a little over a week away from the 20th anniversary of Vice City. Fingers crossed, we'll hear more about GTA 6 by then.
