Grassrivers
The Grassrivers is a large wetland area in Leonida, which will appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. It's a flooded grassland ecosystem in the southern part of the state, comprising counties such as Vice-Dale and Kelly.
Although not named in any of the previous games, hints of this region could be found in Grand Theft Auto IV. A travel ad on Leftover-vacations.com and a Craplist posting reference a wetland area in Vice City, which likely hints at the Grassrivers.
Drawing inspiration from real-world Everglades, Grassrivers is one of the unique and immersive in-game natural environments. The link with the Everglades is further cemented by naming the region after Marjory Stoneman Douglas' book "The Everglades: River of Grass," originally published in 1947.
The Everglades were originally intended to be featured in the 3D Universe, more specifically in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. However, some leftover game files in the PlayStation 2 version prove this idea was eventually scrapped.
