Martyn Ware, founder of the band Heaven 17, recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his outrage at the sum offered by Rockstar Games for the use of their hit song "Temptation" in the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6.

According to Ware, Rockstar approached his publisher with an offer to license "Temptation" for a rather meager $7,500, especially when considering the amount of profit the game is set to generate. Ware's response? "Ah, but think of the exposure… Go f*** yourself."

Ware's tweet quickly went viral, sparking a debate among fans. Some argued that the exposure alone would be worth the price, while others maintained that the offer was insulting given the song's potential to enhance the gaming experience and become a "classic." Ultimately, the decision rests with Heaven 17, and it appears they have made their choice.

It's worth noting that Rockstar Games has a history of removing songs from its games, often due to expiring licensing agreements. Whether this will impact their future music choices remains to be seen.
