The Jobuilt Phantom is a tractor trailer truck featured in the Grand Theft Auto franchise, particularly in multiple titles, including Grand Theft Auto IV, Grand Theft Auto V, Grand Theft Auto Online, and Grand Theft Auto VI.

You can spot the Jobuilt Phantom with a trailer in the opening sequence of the first GTA 6 trailer.

Overview

Design and Inspiration

The Phantom’s design is heavily inspired by the Peterbilt 359EXHD, especially in its front end and underbody. The cab design, hood shape, air cleaners, and sleeper layout show the influence of the Peterbilt 379EXHD. Some design features are also taken from the Peterbilt 389[1] and the Kenworth W900[2]. The Phantom includes a T-bar and tail lights that look similar to custom options typically seen on Peterbilt trucks.

Appearances

The Jobuilt Phantom is the only semi-trailer truck in GTA 4. It comes equipped with a male voiced GPS system that players can access by leaving the "selected cars" option in the audio menu.

In GTA 5, the Jobuilt Phantom returns with a similar design. But it is no longer the only semi-truck and it can now tow trailers. Aside from a GPS system, its appearance in GTA 5 and GTA Online adds a CB radio where players can hear chats between truckers regardless of whether you turn on the main radio or not but only if you are playing as Trevor and only if you're driving through Blaine County.

It's unclear what kind of features the Jobuilt Phantom will have in GTA 6 but it is one of the first vehicles featured in the initial trailer, running on an unspecified highway with other returning vehicles like the Vapid Speedo, the Dashound, and the Brute Shuttle Bus.
