Lucia’s story begins in the mid-2020s, when she is incarcerated in the State of Leonida for undisclosed crimes. During her time in prison, she is shown under the guidance of Stefanie, her correctional social worker.

The dynamic between Lucia and her unnamed accomplice, shown in the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, bears similarities to the infamous American outlaws Bonnie and Clyde.
