Project Americas is the unconfirmed codename for Grand Theft Auto 6 during production. GTA 6 has reportedly been in production since 2012.

The name Project Americas first came up on various internet forums, including Reddit, from anonymous sources. It was later mentioned and confirmed by credible sources and journalists, including Axios' Stephen Totilo, whose sources revealed that Rockstar Games initially wanted the game to have "four protagonists and three cities." Jason Schreier also corroborated the same information, describing GTA 6 as a "moderately sized release", a "significant online mode" and two protagonists, including a Latina woman.
