Rockstar Games is an American video game developer and publisher and a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive. The brand is based in New York City. It is an award-winning studio responsible for creating several well-known video game franchises franchises, including Grand Theft Auto.

Rockstar Games was founded in 1997 by brothers, Sam and Dan Houser, Terry Donovan, Jamie King, and Gary Foreman. Donovan and Dan Houser are no long part of the company, as of January 2025.

The Rockstar Games label is composed of several in-house studios, including studios that it acquired and later renamed and others that it created internally. Its most well-known studios are Rockstar North and Rockstar San Diego.
