From GTA BOOM Wiki

Unfortunately, it appears that Grand Theft Auto 6 won't have full localisation with voice acting for multiple languages.

With Grand Theft Auto 6 less than two years away from its release, Rockstar Games is all hands on deck on the highly anticipated title. So if it's hiring for something, it's most likely going to be for GTA 6.

With that said, over the weekend, three new job postings popped up on Rockstar's LinkedIn that have fans excited about GTA 6's development.

As per the job listings, Rockstar has opened 3 new positions for Localisation Testers for its Lincoln studio. The role would see the incoming staffers play Rockstar's games to provide "dev support and localisation consultation" for Brazilian Portuguese, Traditional Chinese, and Latin American Spanish. This is in addition to the four other similar job listings for the same Rockstar studio for other languages such as German, Spanish, French and Italian. This would imply Rockstar is already in the process of translating the terms and words for the game's subtitles and UI, among others.

Rockstar Games continues to bring on board several more professionals as it prepares for the final stage of GTA 6's development.

Rockstar previously did an amazing job with Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, translating English to other languages with minimal flaws. It's safe to say we can expect a similar same level of commitment to the minute details from GTA 6. Furthermore, the best part is this is a sign that GTA 6's development is progressing well.

Take-Two Interactive previously hinted at an FY2025 release for GTA 6, which falls anywhere between April 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025. But Strauss Zelnick's recent statement suggests it has been pushed back to a later date. The game's new release window now falls within the 2025 calendar year, giving Rockstar over a year left to work on GTA 6.

Since UI design and localisation are usually left for the later stages of development, once the developers have established the foundational gameplay mechanics, Rockstar may be close to putting on the finishing touches for GTA 6.

TLDR; Rockstar is hiring native speakers of certain languages to proofread millions of lines of translated texts, presumably for GTA 6.
