Rockstar Staff Member Doubles Down on GTA 6 Release Plans
A senior staff member is hinting at an exciting year ahead for Rockstar Games and GTA 6
Amidst all the worries and speculation of a potential delay to Grand Theft Auto 6, a senior staff member at Rockstar Games has doubled down on its official release window. At this rate the debate is likely going to live up until the moment the game launches.
In a post on LinkedIn[1], Georgio Jankowski, a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at Rockstar, described this year as "one of the most exciting years" the company will have. He then proceeds to share a link to the company's careers page, which contains information about available roles within Rockstar.
The post itself doesn't confirm that GTA 6 is coming out in 2025. However, the image accompanying the post is still the same artwork being used by Rockstar for promotional materials, with "Coming 2025" written on the background.
It's no secret that Rockstar has ramped up development on GTA 6 for the better part of the past year. In fact, to focus on the upcoming title, Rockstar implemented a return-to-office mandate.
Although this didn't sit well with many fans, it's indicative that the game is entering its final stretch of development. With that said, a Fall 2025 release date for GTA 6 remains likely unless otherwise changed by an official source.
So far, Rockstar is sticking with the same release window. Take-Two Interactive CEO, Strauss Zelnick, is also confident that GTA 6 will not be delayed. However, for the more skeptical of mind out there, we should get a clearer picture about GTA 6's release date within the next few months. Take-Two Interactive, in particular, is expected to hold another earnings call in February.
In the meantime, Rockstar continues to drop hints about GTA 6 in Grand Theft Auto Online. As part of its most recent update for the now-standalone online title, Rockstar backported the Declasse Tulip from the first GTA 6 trailer.
